Creating architectural sculptures with dandelion fluff

The fluff of dandelion may be the softest medium of sculpture creation in the world, but this does not prevent Japanese artist Yusuke Aonuma from using it to create. In his eyes, this furry, umbrella-like material is full of beauty, aonuma will Picking is carried out before the fluff of dandelion (called tanpopo in Japanese) is dried.

Aonuma then places the resulting fluff on a piece of acrylic plate to create a three-dimensional geometry. At the recent exhibition in Tokyo called iki wo tatero (translated into breathing), the artist encouraged visitors to breathe on the flat sculpture to achieve the purpose of interacting with the device. In a dark room, the soft fluff presents a series of different shapes as the airflow changes, and the light passes through the transparent fluff, making it both beautiful and fragile.

The artist has announced that in March 2018, an exhibition will be held in the Omotesando District of Tokyo. The exact time and place have not been announced. You can follow his work on twitter and instagram.
