Zhejiang Crystal Electronics Group Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of artificial quartz crystals, announced the construction of a new artificial quartz crystal production plant in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province.
The plant has set the annual production of synthetic crystals in the first stage to 200 tons. The second phase will be commissioned in May 2001, doubling the annual production.
In order to make full use of resources, China's quartz crystal production moved from the east to the west. Zheng Shousong, president of Zhejiang Crystal Electronics Group Co., Ltd., said that western China has excellent power and human resources, which is very suitable for the production of quartz crystals.
